Outstanding opportunity here for a Project Architect to join a friendly, welcoming practice based in Nottingham city centre that works predominantly in the Shared Living sector, with a keen passion for sustainable design.
THE PRACTICE
This RIBA chartered Architectural practice has been established for over 30 years, during which time they have developed a stellar reputation for delivering high-quality projects in varying sectors throughout the UK. The practice has grown at a sustainable rate over the span of those 30+ years and is proud to offer current staff members routes for progression and new challenges in their work, resulting in a low turnover of staff.
The company operates solely out of the Nottingham office, becoming a well-known name in the Nottinghamshire/wider East Midlands region. As a Project Architect joining this practice, you will be part of a team that predominantly focuses on the Shared Living sector, including Student Accommodation, Co-Living Spaces, and Build-To-Rent properties, which involve high-density, framed buildings with non-traditional construction methods.
Given the practice's focus on the Shared Living sector, the Building Safety Act is extremely important in their work. All current staff members have a solid understanding of the BSA and show a commitment to developing their ongoing expertise in this area. The practice is also a signatory of Architects Declare, placing significant importance on sustainability and adopting sustainable design principles, including low-carbon design and nature-based solutions.
The practice uses Revit as their main software package, and everyone in the practice is up to speed in this area.
THE ROLE - PROJECT ARCHITECT
The position on offer at this Nottingham-based practice is for a Project Architect with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience and some level of job running experience.
As mentioned previously, the practice operates predominantly in Shared Living projects, including Student Accommodation and Co-Living Spaces. A Project Architect with prior experience in this sector would be ideal for this position, although Architects with experience in large-scale Residential, Mixed Use, and Commercial settings may also be considered.
Two highly desirable criteria for this position are sound knowledge of the Building Safety Act and a passion for & experience in sustainable buildings. If you can demonstrate experience and knowledge in these areas, along with the aforementioned experience in the Shared Living sector, you will likely be in an excellent position to be appointed to this role.
The Project Architect role will see you working on projects from concept through to technical delivery & completion, so the ideal Architect for this position will be able to demonstrate experience working across all RIBA stages from 0-7. Project running experience is very much desirable.
The practice is heavily Revit-focused, so at least 3 years of consistent use of the package is required as a minimum.
