About this job
You will be working under the direction of the Regional Secretary and will assist the regional management team to deliver UNISON’s objective of “Developing an efficient and effective union”.
Your main areas of responsibility will include:
* Strategic development
* Staff Management
* Finance Administration
* Facilities Management
* Health & Safety
* Membership systems
* IT Systems
* Branch Support
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to the role in order to develop and direct a wide range of financial and administrative functions within the region as well as managing the staff delivering them. You should have excellent problem-solving as well as outstanding organisational and communication skills.
You will need to be able to travel within the region for meetings/training as required.
A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is desirable along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives.
