Hotel Café Royal are looking for an experiencedAccounts Assistant to join the Finance team based in London, who will be responsible for supporting the Finance team.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director and working as part of a larger management team you will demonstrate a flexible and adaptive hands-on approach. With a meticulous eye for detail, you never miss a thing, ensuring that all invoices received into Food, Beverage, Miscellaneous and Capital Expenditure are matched to delivery notes and purchase orders through Purchasing and Hotel Accounting System.
Superior communication skills are also required for this role as you will deal with Creditor queries and inter-departmental queries relating invoicing/orders and with close liaison with the Purchasing department, as well as communicate with Heads of Department to arrange a schedule for them to approve their departmental invoices.
Finally, your background in Finances will give you the fundamental understanding to undertake a host of financial responsibilities including preparation of monthly pre-payment schedule, reconciliation of the Accounts Payable related clearing accounts and processing payments to our Trade Creditors in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Upload foreign currency to opera daily
* Daily Revenue file creation monthly and daily reconciliation
* BDS file created monthly and being kept up to date
* Monthly creation and review of Room benefits file including comp/house use forms
* Daily review of Night Audit folder and corrections/investigation of any discrepancies
* Daily completion of Credit Card reconciliation and posting/investigating any issues when posting to opera
* Support Comp/Allowances completion on Management Spend daily
* Support Events &Akasha Reconciliation between Micros and BEO daily
* Covering General Cashiering duties including issuing petty cash as well as paid outs daily returns
* Processing employee expenses as an when received
* Assisting in posting Proformas and Invoices as well as following up with suppliers to issue Invoices
* AR cover as necessary posting daily payments received from the bank as well as any refunds/general inquiries
* Ad Hoc chores as required by finance
Requirements:
* Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant role, gained within a luxury hotel or similar
* Your communication skills exceptional, in order to flawlessly connect with clients and colleagues a fluentlevel of spoken and written English is essential
* Exceptional attention to detail is essential, as well as strong numerical skills
* Competent in Excel, Word and some exposure to purchasing/procurement software such as SUN, Fourth Hospitality and ADACO is essential
