Due to high demand, we are currently recruiting Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers to join their team and work across various NHS hospitals in the Somerset area. The Role As a Healthcare Support Worker (Band 2), you will be working on a temporary basis across NHS hospitals, supporting healthcare teams with patient care and daily operational tasks. Key Responsibilities: Assist with personal care for patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility. Support nursing staff with clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs and assisting with medical procedures. Help patients with daily activities and ensure their comfort and dignity. Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, as well as feeding where required. Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring hygiene standards are met. Support patients emotionally by offering comfort and reassurance during their stay. Ensure all patient documentation and records are accurately maintained. Be part of the multidisciplinary team, working together to ensure the best possible care for patients. Skills and Qualifications Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential—training will be provided. A caring and compassionate attitude, with a genuine desire to help others. Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different NHS environments. Reliable and committed to delivering high-quality patient care. Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and valid Right to Work in the UK.
