Where will you be working?
BSS is a supplier of pipeline, process, heating and mechanical services equipment; our customers range from large national contractors (the projects we support make us very proud!) to small, local independents. We are a flagship branch in Kinning Park, Glasgow, G41 1LU, employing a total of 25 staff. We're looking for an experienced Sales Supervisor to join our team, which currently consists of 5 people within the sales team. Our Branch Manager has created a dynamic, fast paced and lively environment, and this role forms part of their senior team, providing great support from day one in a hardworking environment.
Hours - Monday to Friday 0800-1700, no weekends!

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same in BSS branch life. You will learn our business and products with our training and guidance, overseeing a sales team/administrator and our trades counter (team of approx 7). You will manage the full sales operation in our successful branch, ensuring service standards are maintained, quotations are produced efficiently and accurately, managing all orders, resolving escalated issues with customers or the team, and working as part of the management team to support the Branch Manager in ensuring a successful profitable operation.
What experience do you need?
This is a key customer-facing sales driven role. You need the ability to provide great customer service and demonstrable sales experience in a similar environment, e.g., merchanting/trade supplies. You should have drive, confidence, enthusiasm, and passion; we can teach you the rest. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar phone-based sales role with strong customer service skills and the ability to relate to various people. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and organized, you will also possess good numerical skills. Full product training will be provided.
