Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer Required BE Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and solutions-focused Maintenance Engineer to join our client who manufacture within the adhesive market. Based in Thurmaston, Leicester (LE4). In this role, you will provide essential maintenance support to ensure plant safety, compliance, and productivity while helping to achieve up-time targets. You will contribute to continuous improvement and work collaboratively to deliver cost-effective maintenance solutions. Key Responsibilities: Ensure zero accidents and near misses, adhering to all health and safety protocols. Maintain plant availability to agreed targets, conducting Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (Agility). Perform repairs and installations of plant equipment and ensure compliance with legislation. Promote and implement Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) by training and working alongside operators. Support the documentation and identification of all plant and machinery, assist in utility meter readings, and provide emergency call-out support when required. Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement Initiatives, helping to optimise production processes and reduce waste. Monitor performance through KPIs, prepare reports, and ensure accurate data management for the department. Fulfil other duties including Fire Marshall/Warden responsibilities and emergency incident response. Main Requirements: Qualified Engineer with City & Guilds or equivalent dual-skilled training in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Extensive experience in production/process industries. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation in maintenance and manufacturing environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor team members in engineering practices. Proficient in computer systems, numerate, and strong analytical/reporting skills. A positive attitude with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment. Flexible working hours. Full clean UK driving license required. Specific Electrical Bias Responsibilities: Reduce downtime of electrical control systems. Strengthen the department's electrical engineering skills through knowledge-sharing. Assist with improvement projects to upgrade electrical systems and implement the latest technology. Ensure all modifications are communicated and documented effectively. Hours & Pay: £40,000 - £48,000. 40 hour working week - weekly rotations - covering earliers, lates & nights. 31 Days annual leave - inclusive of bank holidays. Company sick pay. Health cash plan.
