About your team The UK Wholesale Marketing team is responsible for communicating the breadth of Fidelity’s investment capabilities and solutions to our investment professional client base. Our clients include financial advisers, wealth managers / discretionary fund managers and asset managers (fund of funds / multi asset providers) among others. Working closely with our sales and investment colleagues, we provide clients with product information, market insights and educational content. We look to convey this in a clear and compelling way while doing so through the most effective and appropriate marketing medium and channel. Global Investment Solutions | Fidelity International | United Kingdom About your role As a member of the UK Wholesale Marketing team, you will work closely with colleagues in our Distribution, Global Content and Investment teams to shape and deliver a programme of impactful investment content relevant to UK wholesale fund buyers and financial advisers. Our goal is to build a leadership position on topical market and industry issues and ensure that our investment proposition is well understood, clearly and consistently articulated and differentiated from competitors in the UK market. You will curate and edit output from global content producers to ensure relevance to a UK professional audience and help to deliver this across an impactful “always on” programme of email, social media, events and other channel communications. For this to accurately meet the needs of a diverse group of UK professional investment practitioners, you will be expected to lead and facilitate discussion and close cooperation between Investment, Sales and colleagues within the wider Marketing group. Specifically, you will have responsibility for maintaining an organic presence in our social media channels, developing content and strategies to drive engagement and grow our follower base. You will also manage our email newsletter programmes, providing editorial input and taking responsibility for production and distribution of these regular emails. This will include strategies to grow our subscriber base. As we look for incremental improvements, you will monitor content engagement and use research insights and your experience of marketing best practice to inform ongoing development of the content programme. About you You will have a strong level of technical investment knowledge across all main asset classes and bring practical understanding of the distribution landscape in the UK, especially adviser and discretionary management channels. With an ability to translate complex investment messages into easily digested, timely and interesting content, you will show a passion for both communication and investment markets. You will be confident working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and have excellent stakeholder management skills. To effectively contribute to the planning and delivery of a programme of investment insight and opinion for professional investors, you will relish: Developing, delivering and maintaining investment content aligned to an agenda which supports promotion of our focus franchises and products. Working collaboratively with Investment and Global Content teams to influence their content to ensure that it meets the needs of UK professional investors. Ensuring the articulation of our investment capability is consistently engaging and clearly demonstrates points of differentiation and competitive advantage in materials distributed to wholesale clients. Managing and delivering impactful content across our proprietary and third-party events programmes. Leading the briefing process for event content created by our investment teams. Experience and Qualifications Required Previous industry experience working in product or investment content marketing, or a relevant communications or product-focused role within an investment team. Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to distil complex investment issues into more digestible and accessible formats. Strong technical understanding of financial markets and investment products (equities, fixed income, multi-asset, sustainable investing) IMC or similar professional qualification desired Knowledge of UK wholesale client segments within the mutual funds industry Digital first and analytical mind-set with some experience of utilising marketing automation tools (Marketo an advantage) and evolving best practices based on data analysis.
