About the role
This is a new position aimed at launching new products into production and developing robust testing processes to ensure their reliability and maximize end-user satisfaction.
Key responsibilities will include
* Be involved in new products at inception using experience to catch potential problems before they are embedded into products
* Support new product launch readiness
* In conjunction with R&D, develop test process supporting critical functionality in PCB design, for delivery to suppliers
* Working with Process engineering, develop robust production tests that output quantifiable data
* Use of Six Sigma to establish control limits using SPC and CP/CPK methodologies
* Use CP/CPK to identify lower-performing processes for improvement
* Working with Process engineering, qualifying test equipment before introduction using Guage R&R methodologies
* Responsible for raising issues identified during test processes, escalating where necessary
* Work with Production, process engineering and R&D to develop systematic procedures based on lessons learned
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience with PCB design and test
* Able to demonstrate/ introduction of new products into production with lessons learned
* Use of problem-solving tools
* Able to communicate at all levels of the business in a collaborative relationship to achieve business objectives: Quality first
