Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
As the Production Manager, you will:
* Lead manufacturing to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.
* Prioritize and promote a safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
* Provide effective leadership to the manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and innovation.
* Lead commercial management through understanding of drivers and efficiencies.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
* Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards and implement quality control processes to maintain consistency.
* Efficiently manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and budgets, to achieve operational goals.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and sales, to align site manufacturing operations with company goals.
* Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess and report on the performance of manufacturing operations.
Minimum Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Engineering, Management, or related discipline.
* Experience in managing manufacturing operations, and extensive experience running production or engineering functions, with product knowledge of concrete advantageous.
* Commercial savvy with P&L management.
* Minimum 5 years leading a best practice Operations/Manufacturing function.
* Strong safety culture and able to establish a safety mindset in the business.
* Understands product quality and engineering for optimal product standards.
