The Role:
As a key member of The Red Lion Plawsworth management team, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue while maintaining our commitment to exceptional service. You’ll be a hands-on Manager with a passion for working with people, ensuring everything runs smoothly across the bar, restaurant, or hotel (coming soon!).
Key Responsibilities:
* Be an exceptional manager with a hands-on approach to leading and developing your team.
* Provide outstanding service to guests, ensuring they have an unforgettable experience.
* Manage operations throughout the venue, including the bar, restaurant, and hotel.
* Welcome guests with exceptional service when checking them in and out of the hotel.
* Handle cashing up and end-of-night reporting to the Area Operations Manager and Director.
* Respond promptly and accurately to emails, maintaining clear communication with both customers and colleagues.
* Take full responsibility for the venue during your shifts, ensuring everything runs smoothly and to standard.
* Assign duties and responsibilities to colleagues, helping where needed to ensure seamless operations.
* Have a solid understanding of P&Ls and work closely with the Area Operations Manager.
* Drive service excellence and maintain our high standards of service through effective team training.
* Advise guests on wine selections to enhance their dining experience.
* Oversee customer bookings and reservations, ensuring everything is scheduled efficiently.
* Organize daily and weekly staff rotas for the Front of House team.
* Encourage a great atmosphere within the venue, creating unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.

* You have a good understanding of P&Ls and have experience working closely with management to drive business success.

* You have great organizational skills, with the ability to manage schedules, bookings, and customer service.
* You enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience.
