You will join an existing academic team comprising of the SQE Academic Director; the SQE Academic Head and Deputy Academic Head; SQE Senior Subject Heads and Subject Heads. The Senior Subject Heads and Subject Heads work in various disciplines to contribute to the content and quality of the final SQE2 assessments. This is a challenging and varied role. It offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the academic team responsible for delivering a major new licensing examination. You’ll help us to deliver world-leading assessments by developing questions in Property Practice for the SQE oral and written assessments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who may be currently working as a Law Tutor or Practising Solicitor, who is looking to expand their skills and build their career with an industry leader. What you’ll bring to the role Professionally qualified as a solicitor of England & Wales. Up to date knowledge of law and legal practice in Property law. The ability to use legal research databases proficiently. The ability to think originally and analytically. The ability to coordinate and develop a team of highly qualified and experienced solicitor freelance writers and assessors in Property Law. The ability to respond positively under pressure to assessment editing and production deadlines. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including building strong and productive relationships with freelance question writers and assessors. Strong presentation skills. The ability to operate within a team and to work efficiently and sensitively with both fellow academic and academic resources staff. Strong administrative skills including organisational, time and document management skills and attention to detail. Willingness to be flexible and work within the business required hours.
