Description The Buildings Manager role is responsible for the day-to-day management of all CA UK Buildings and Facilities. Leading a team of two direct reports, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our buildings and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Buildings regulatory requirements. You will take a leading role in the management of various relevant projects across the building, including construction, refurbishment, fit-out, and repurposing. You will be a key point of contact for facilities queries and will apply a calm approach coupled with the ability to clearly communicate what is required. This role will be an out of hours callout contact. This means responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues until the relevant third-party contractor can attend site. You will also be required to provide any recommendations for follow up action where relevant. On a day-to-day basis, you will: Management of Service Providers Ensuring that preventative building repairs and maintenance checks are carried out as required. Management of 3rd party hard service providers from onboarding through to job completion. This includes Building & Ground, Sanitary & Utilities, and Security and Mechanical & Engineering. Management of the tender process. Health & Safety, Security and Compliance Management of Health & Safety and Fire Safety arrangements to meet both statutory and organisational requirements, in accordance with the SOE Health & Safety policy. Management of physical security provisions and procedures in and around the studio. Management of emergency preparedness procedures, including fire, first aid, and security. Ditribute Health & Safety and Facilities related communications to all relevant stakeholders. Identification and provision of Health and Safety training requirements. Coordination of all documentation relating to the management of Facilities, Health & Safety, Fire, and Security. Oversee annual risk assessments and PAT testing. Buildings Project Management Working with the Chief Operating Officer to fulfil Buildings projects, including building CAT A and CAT B fit outs. Overseeing approval of retention and defects sign off and dilapidations. Assisting with office relocations and desk moves, in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer. Overseeing internal desk moves alongside the Studio Support Lead. Manage studio capex and non-capex budgets (Maintenance & Repairs, Health & Safety, and Utilities budgets). Assist with any project reviews and monitor council planning proposals. Leadership Management of the Buildings team, assigning them responsibilities as required and ensuring the successful fulfilment of these responsibilities. Coaching and assisting with team members’ ongoing career and skills development. Other Ensuring that any in-house fixes to the facilities have been implemented to a high standard. Ensuring that building signage is up to date. What we are looking for: Essential Proven experience within a buildings management / facilities management role. Experience of building fit-outs. HVAC knowledge. Experience of budget management and the tender process. Experienced in and highly knowledgeable of Health & Safety management and legal compliance. Basic mechanical and engineering knowledge. Strong communication skills – written and spoken. Highly organised and proactive, with good attention to detail. Strong ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines. Desirable Experience of managing projects. Previous leadership experience. Previous experience of working within the games industry. IWFM or IFMA Qualifications. IOSH Membership. NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 3) or equivalent.
