The Role We’re looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor within construction sector to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering key projects for Sizewell C. This role will involve health and safety support and advice to internal site operations, safety, site infrastructure & Utilities, FM, accommodation, catering, health and security, and more. In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, Engineering Leads, and Tier 1 Contractor teams to ensure all health and safety requirements are met on-site. Your ability to engage with stakeholders, challenge practices constructively, and mitigate risks will ensure seamless delivery of construction projects. You’ll ensure the Principal Contractor and associated Tier 1 contractors are complying with their requirements under Construction (Design & Management) (CDM) Regulations. Working to support and promote health, safety and wellbeing during pre-planning and delivery stages to ensure the Sizewell C project expectations are fully embraced. Key Highlights: Collaborating with construction leaders to embed safety into every phase. Providing expert guidance on legislative and site-specific safety standards (including CDM Regulations). Driving a proactive approach to mitigating risks in high-pressure environments. What You'll bring Minimum four years of solid experience in H&S in construction (with CDM Regulation experience). Passion for health, safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement. Experience leading investigations into accidents, incidents, and ill health. Self-aware team player who leverages strengths effectively. Recognized Health & Safety qualification- Level 6 Diploma or equivalent. Proven track record of delivering excellent safety results. IOSH Membership and a valid CSCS Card - essential. Desirable Degree in Construction, Environment Studies or another relevant field. A full job description is available on application.
