Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM FM is recruiting a Trainee Quality Advisor to join the Team. This role will start off as a remote position with meetings in our Solihull office (so ideally we are looking for someone who is centrally based in the UK). Later on it will become mobile across the UK. You must be able to travel and on occasions stop over as required, but your diary will be yours to organise around your home life as far as is reasonably practicable. Your mission We are looking for someone who is organised, logical and is passionate about business improvement and providing information for employees that make working as easy as possible whilst meeting all the requirements we need to. Initially the role will focus on Document Control, so we are looking for someone with experience of maintaining/controlling large quantities of documentation. We ideally want someone with experience of creating and maintaining SharePoint Lists and Pages. If you have experience of organising events or even better audits, this would be ideal, as part of this role you will need to liaise with multiple key stakeholders to arrange internal/external audits and update an audit programme. We also need someone who can easily create reports from various data sources and work with the FM IT team to create BI reports. So if you have experience of Microsoft Systems to an intermediate level this role could be for you. Ideally we want someone with some experience of working in a service related industry for multiple clients. Ideally where employees are both static and mobile across multiple sites. Once you’ve taken over Document Control the job will expand into Quality Audits, we’ll ensure you have a recognised internal auditor qualification and you will buddy up with a qualified auditor before going solo when you’re ready. The Quality Manager will be your mentor and line manager, guiding you along the way into the world of Compliance. Your mission As a Trainee Quality Advisor, you'll support the Quality Manager in coordinating the activities required to meet the quality standards. You'll ensure that this quality is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. Responsibilities: As the Trainee Quality Advisor, you'll need to: • Be the Document Controller for BAM FM. • Assist in maintaining the quality procedures, standards, and specifications. • Work with the FM IT team to ensure we have relevant data driven BI reports that can drive improvements of the quality management system. • Look at ways to increase efficiency. • Work with and support key parties within BAM FM and the wider BAM. • Contribute towards the success of the quality objectives set by FM or the wider BAM. • Over time start to Deputise for the Quality Manager as required. • Following training conduct remote and on site internal audits against ISO 9001 and the quality management system. Who are we looking for? Essential: • Experience of working in a service related industry. Ideally where employees are both static and mobile. • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite of Office applications. • Organisational and planning orientated. • Detail orientated, logical and analytical. • Ability to produce reports. • Communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to promote best practice. • Skills in numerical and statistical analysis. Desirable: • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Pages. • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Lists. • Knowledge of ISO 9001. • Experience of arranging internal audits. • Experience of conducting internal quality audits.
