Registered Practice Nurse - Canisbay & Castletown Group Practice
REGISTERED PRACTICE NURSE REQUIRED - PART TIME
Canisbay and Castletown is an independent (GMS) rural practice operating out of two refurbished premises along the scenic North Coast 500 route. We are accredited with the University of Aberdeen as a teaching practice for trainee doctors and help with other specialist training including dispensers and our ANP.
We serve a population of approximately 3000 patients. The successful candidate will work at both our sites and be fully supported in their role. The practice operates with Vision and Docman software systems.
Our team is well supported with 2 GP partners, practice nurse, health care support worker, ANP, dispensary staff and an experienced office and managerial team. In addition, we have support from a range of multidisciplinary team members affiliated with the practice through NHS Highland.
It would be advantageous for any candidates with previous treatment room and primary care experience to apply, but this is not essential, and training will be provided if required. Skills to participate in chronic disease management areas are desirable with scope to develop further clinical interests too. The candidate should have an ability to operate independently as well as work well within a close team.
Benefits include a SPPA pension and holiday/leave entitlements of 6 weeks pro rata in addition to bank/public holidays.
A full current driving licence and use of a car is essential. NMC registration and up-to-date revalidation with good IT and communication skills are also required.
Informal visits or enquiries are warmly welcomed. A job description and application form can be sent if required. This will be a part-time position with hours/days agreeable with the correct applicant, with salary agreed depending on experience.
