Our client is a freight forwarder who provides a comprehensive worldwide freight forwarding service to UK manufacturers, exporters, and importers who demand a cost-effective service together with a high degree of personal attention.
In line with the continued expansion, our client is now looking to strengthen their Sales team by taking on a new Internal Sales Executive.
Working in a great and established team with other sales and internal sales staff, the successful candidate will build and develop existing client relationships, maximize business potential, and calculate Air, Road, and Sea freight quotations.
Role
1. New business development through telesales & field sales
2. Key Account Management
3. Generating & Calculating Freight quotations / tender documents
4. Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence
5. Follow-up calls
6. Managing sales process through to closure
7. Developing long-lasting relationships with new clients
8. Supporting the sales team in their sales efforts
9. Managing the existing and new client quotes
Experience / Skills Required
1. Not essential - Multi-modal freight forwarding experience
2. Alternatively export sales experience
3. Either Sales / customer service or Operations experience
4. Proven success of handling and calculating RFQs and tender submissions
5. Experience of negotiating with clients and/or suppliers
6. Key account management experience with proven success of developing relationships
7. Experience of calculating KPI reports
8. Experience of face-to-face client and supplier meetings
9. Good administrative skills
10. Good numerical skills
11. Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Benefits
Circa £26,000 - £29,000 Base Salary + Bonus Up to £5,000
