As an Asset Management Analyst, you will contribute to our vision of being the UK's favourite property manager by:
* Taking ownership of all client financial reporting to asset management clients.
* Assisting in the AVIVA SPV year-end audit in an efficient manner.
* Ensuring all reporting KPIs to asset management clients are met.
* Ensuring accuracy of month-end reporting for Corporate management accounts.
This role reports to the Senior Business Partner - Commercial & Asset Management.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintain month-end schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly management accounts for the client's SPVs and Limited Partnership Entity.
* Produce a management report for client entities on a quarterly basis in a timely manner.
* Resolve issues on accounts and ensure a quality service is provided to the asset management client.
* Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our client.
* Adopt a proactive approach to audit and accounts, liaising with analysts/managers on areas of concern.
* Bank reconciliation and process bank payments.
* Preparing prepayments and accruals and maintain relevant schedules.
* Perform monthly analysis for the Commercial & Asset management divisions.
* Assist in weekly KPI reporting to AVIVA operations management.
* Prepare annual budget & monthly forecasts.
* Business Partner and build relationships with operations.
* Presentation of monthly results & analysis to operations management.
* Identify efficiencies in current processes.
* Assist with any ad-hoc tasks/analysis.
* Take full responsibility for your own development and contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes, or feedback from colleagues/external parties.
Skills and Experience:
* 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
* Preferable to be working towards a professional qualification.
* Friendly professional manner, comfortable communicating with peers, other departments, and external stakeholders.
* Understanding of statutory reporting and SPVs advantageous.
* Knowledge of Qube/Sage advantageous.
* Inquisitive nature, keen problem solver.
* Proactive and careful approach.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent time management skills. Clear understanding of and ability to meet deadlines.
* Experience and understanding of the industry are preferred.
