Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated physiotherapist to work in the Manchester inpatient division based at Laureate House of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. The band 7 post is full time (37.5 hours per week). You will provide physiotherapy across the inpatient unit. Laureate House inpatient unit has 56 beds encompassing four wards; one older adult ward, one perinatal ward and two adult wards. Main duties of the job You will support the team by providing assessment, treatment planning and provision for patients who have complex physical and psychological needs. As well as supporting groups and initiatives on the wards to promote understanding and engagement in Physical Health Agendas. You will work as part of a friendly multi-disciplinary team comprising nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, doctors, speech and language therapists, social workers, and dieticians. There is a strong health promotion ethos, with a great emphasis on improving our patient's physical health. You will work within the MDT to develop different health promotion and exercise opportunities. Ideal candidates will be dynamic and forward thinking, work effectively in a wide MDT team, and possess excellent communication skills. The post-holder must be committed to professional development through support, training and supervision, which will be essential due to the evolving nature of this service. You will be HCPC registered and have experience working across a broad range of health settings in a range of specialties. There will be ample opportunity to utilise and further develop your expertise and skills, whilst treating patients with a wide range of both physical and mental health conditions.
