We’re thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Imaging Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team!
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our imaging department, delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services that meet exceptional clinical standards.
A Clear Picture on Your Future
As an Imaging Veterinary Nurse, you’ll perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography and assisting with ultrasound. You will operate specialised equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and addressing any technical or logistical challenges as they arise. Your role will also involve positioning patients with precision and care to achieve accurate diagnostics while maintaining high clinical standards. Working independently within each imaging modality, you’ll oversee equipment performance and help maintain a smooth workflow within the department.
Work With Advanced Facilities
Pride Veterinary Referrals is equipped with cutting-edge facilities and advanced diagnostic tools, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care. With 13 consultation rooms, 7 hospital wards, 5 theatres (expanding this year), a comprehensive imaging suite (CT, MRI & digital X-ray), 3 ultrasound rooms, an endoscopy suite, a hydrotherapy pool and treadmills, and dedicated chemo & radio-iodine treatment rooms, our facilities provide an exceptional care environment.
Our large and experienced team ensures access to leading-edge specialist knowledge, offering you an advanced and varied caseload that promotes the development of your clinical skills. While we prioritise clinical excellence and gold-standard patient care, we maintain a friendly and supportive culture within the team.
Working Pattern
The role consists of a 38-hour work week spread across 4 days, with shifts from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm on three days and 8:30 am to 7:00 pm on one day, including a 1-hour lunch break each day. You’ll also participate in a 1:6 weekend rotation, with minimal on-call duties - just one night approximately every 10 weeks. This schedule is designed to provide an excellent balance between your professional and personal life while allowing you to deliver outstanding patient care.
Are you the perfect fit?
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a genuine passion for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and the drive to continually develop your skills and knowledge. Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience performing referral radiography is preferred, and while an RPS (Radiation Protection Supervisor) qualification is desirable, it’s not a requirement, as full training will be provided.
