Main duties of the job
Working as a Customer Support and Assistant Buyer the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team within NOE CPC, delivering an effective and efficient service as an Assistant buyer and supporting colleagues to manage, and respond to internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will maintain a comprehensive overview and understanding of the team's procurement and contract management activity. They will proactively manage the support for the team, including the development and maintenance of pricing catalogues, category strategy, customer and supplier engagement and contract management on behalf of NHS England. The post holder will work as part of the procurement team to deliver savings to the NHS on a national basis. You will support the procurement team to ensure compliance with operational policy and processes, maintenance of departmental governance and work plan.
Responsible for significant day-to-day business management maintenance of pricing catalogues
The post holder will manage the Facilities & Office Solutions Helpdesk, dealing with customers within the NHS and work with suppliers to resolve complaints/queries within agreed KPI's.

NHS Supply Chain Facilities and Office Solutions
NOE CPC were successful in resecuring an existing service contract and expanding its scope providing the opportunity to provide the NHS Supply Chain Category Management Service for Facilities and Office Solutions following a recent tender process. This involves managing the national procurement of several categories including Paper Hygiene, Textiles, Janitorial Pulp, Office Supplies and Furniture.
Support the procurement team to deliver a fully operational and effective purchasing and supply service for NOE CPC, delivering ongoing cost efficiencies and benefits to Stakeholders and their customers. To carry out operational tasks associated with the procurement of goods and services, and effectively contribute towards NOE CPCs value for money and cash releasing saving targets.
Working as part of a small team, managing contracts placed by all areas of the NOE CPC using Policies and Procedures in an effective and efficient manner according to the performance standards set.
Deal with a high volume of customer and supplier queries primarily over the telephone and emails to ensure that goods and services are selected, ordered and received in appropriate timescales. Along with producing standard documentation from the procurement computerised systems as required by the service, customers or suppliers, keeping systems up to date and accurate.
