As the Quality manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality through effective management and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS). Based at our advanced additive manufacturing facility in Avonmouth, you will lead a dedicated team of quality professionals, overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control across our additive manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities
* Quality Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor and support a team of quality professionals to ensure operation and product excellence and provide guidance and support to actively promote a strong quality-first mindset across the teams.
* Quality Management Systems & Compliance: Develop, maintain, and enhance the QMS to meet ISO 9001:2015 industry standards and customer requirements. You will also lead audits and inspections to assess adherence to quality standards and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and certifications.
* Process & Product Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and work cross-functionally to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent future defects.
* Performance Monitoring & Accountability: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure and report on quality metrics and drive data-driven decision-making to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
* Quality Excellence culture: Foster a proactive approach to quality, promote awareness and adherence to best practices, ensuring a commitment to excellence at all levels.
What you will need
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field
* Expertise in developing and maintaining QMS frameworks, with knowledge of ISO 9001
* Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar credentials is desirable
* Proven experience in quality management within manufacturing – Marine, Additive manufacturing, fabrication environments are highly desirable
* Experience in leading and conducting audits and implementing CAPA processes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels
* Highly analytical with a clear attention to detail and the ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions

Our advanced manufacturing facilities include a state-of-the-art robotics suite, offering 3D printing services and Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) capabilities which means we can deliver manufacturing projects in less time and at lower costs compared to traditional manufacturing processes.
