Caretaker

Responsibilities:
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure school, including the buildings, swimming pool, and grounds.
* Carrying out cleaning, handyperson activities, routine maintenance to the building and swimming pool, refurbishment, porterage, and minor repairs.
* Promoting health and safety around the school.
* Supervising external contractors and site use and development planning.
* Ensuring a pleasant environment for users of the school buildings and grounds.
* Responsible for the opening and closing of the building and its grounds.
* Managing contractors attending the site.
* Liaising with users of the building for additional usage outside usual educational hours.
* Maintaining security of the school premises as the main key holder.
* Conducting regular checks of CCTV and alarm systems, locks, fire safety appliances, and perimeter fencing.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining safety logs.
* Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance to the buildings and grounds.
* Ensuring proper waste disposal and cleanliness of the site.
* Planning for specialist repairs and maintenance within budget.

Working arrangements:
In this role, the successful candidate will work from Brays School Sheldon B26 1NS, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 11 am and 2:30 pm to 6 pm.
