We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, forward-thinking Engineer to join our dedicated Highways Service at Wiltshire Council.
The Engineer role is crucial in designing, developing and implementing Traffic Engineering measures across the County to improve road safety and network efficiency. It also ensures the fulfilment of functions key to providing Wiltshire Council's statutory duty as a highway authority.
As an engineer, you will deal with all manner of stakeholders, from members of the public, senior management and our consultants and contractors. The work you will do will make a difference to the residents of the county and those who visit.
With a well-established and experienced team, this role offers the opportunity to further develop your career and the chance to consult on integral, technical decision making to enable the Council to deliver effective and efficient traffic management solutions.
We are looking for a candidate with good problem-solving skills, the ability to mentor, excellent time management skills and experience in traffic engineering. You will hold a HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering, alongside an appropriate membership with an Engineering institution.
