A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live-in support for children and young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. Their staff are always on hand to provide emotional support as well as helping to teach and develop the children for the future.
They are recruiting for a Children's Home Deputy Manager. You will be:
1. Based in a children's residential home in Colwyn Bay
2. Working 2 full days and nights and then having 4 days and nights off but can be flexible
3. Working with boys and girls from the ages of 6-16
4. Supporting the child with making them breakfast, helping getting them dressed and to school, putting on washing, pick up's from school, cooking dinner, getting them bathed and to bed
5. Doing rotas for staff, leading the support team, making sure care plans are adhered to and helping the manager run the home
Salary and Benefits of a Children's Home Deputy Manager:
1. £15.24 per hour if you have your Level 3, £16.68 if you have your Level 5
2. £60 per sleep in
3. An additional 16 hours per month paid for paperwork
4. 224 hours holiday per year - you get an extra 2 days when you have been there 2 years
5. Bank holidays paid at x1.5
6. A great support network with further training and development
7. Private health care
8. Claim petrol back for 40p per mile
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements to be a Children's Home Deputy Manager:
1. Living in or around the Colwyn Bay area
2. You must have a full UK driving licence and ideally your own vehicle but there is a house car you will have access to
3. NVQ level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce is essential - having level 5 or being on the course would be a major advantage
4. Experience needed working in a residential child care framework
