The Role: We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic goals. You will play a vital role in ensuring that these students receive the tailored support they need to thrive in our school environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom. Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning activities. Support students in developing essential skills, such as communication, social interaction, and independence. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments and reports. Assist with classroom management, including supporting positive behaviour and helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to further enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support. The successful LSA will have: Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to respond to the varying needs of students. A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
