Our Client is a leading carbon fibre engineering company supplying customers worldwide. They offer composite solutions for both one-off prototype components, as well as larger production runs. Our accuracy, reliability and fast turnaround time allows us to work with a large variety of industries, from high precision Formula One cars and Aerospace to the longer production runs and visual standards of automotive and medical.
The role:
To finish prep patterns and moulds to the highest standards, using various hand tools.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Final preparation of patterns and moulds.
2. Using a variety of hand tools, small air tools and abrasive paper hand finish master patterns to the highest of standards.
3. Spray sealer to patterns then post spraying preparation.
4. Work to drawings and working instructions.
5. Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency.
6. Keep all equipment maintained.
7. Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
8. Previous experience in a pattern shop or similar environment.
9. Ability to read engineering drawings.
10. Good attention to detail is essential.
11. Able to follow work instructions.
12. Good awareness of health and safety.
13. Good verbal communication and listening skills.
14. Ability to work to tight deadlines. * Ability to remain calm under pressure.
15. Used to working in a fast-moving environment.
16. Flexible approach to whatever it takes to get the job done.
17. Problem Solving skills.
Further Information:
18. Working hours are 8.00 am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
19. Overtime available subject to work schedule – at excellent overtime rates
20. 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
