About the Role:
As the Investment and Development Officer you will take the lead on ensuring that the properties identified for disposal are sold according to the agreed process. This will include the shared ownership disposals where you will be working closely with shared owners and often their families.
In some cases, you will be supporting the shared owner to buy a different property and see them move to their chosen home. This will involve working with the Home Ownership team to follow the processes and ensure that records on delivery are up to date.
Advance delivers new rented properties for adults with a learning disability or enduring mental health conditions and as the Investment and Development Officer you will work with the Senior Development Officer and Head of Development to provide support for some of these developments.
When properties are disposed from Advance, an accurate record of this is required. Equally, when new properties are brought into the organisation, they need to be recorded accurately. There are systems to update and teams to inform which is a key part of the role.
It is an exciting role and you will see how good quality housing does make a real difference for people’s lives.
The role of Investment and Development Officer will include:
1. Leading on the disposal of properties when approved
2. Supporting shared owners to sell their properties
3. Providing shared owners and their families with advice on selling and buying again
4. Co-ordinating the different stakeholders to achieve efficient sale of properties
5. Keeping accurate records
6. Providing reports for internal and external audiences
For an informal discussion in relation to the role please contact Graeme Jackson, on 01993 226537.
