You will be working together with Project Managers and project teams to enhance content and communication relating to risk.Please note potential candidates for this role must be able to obtain and retain CTC (Counter Terrorist Check) level security clearance to be considered for this position. (Minimum 3 years residence in UK)#LI-BM1ResponsibilitiesIdentifying the risk exposure facing the project or projects responsible forUnderstanding the opportunities as well as the threats facing the project, and report these to the Project Manager as requiredPrioritising risks according to impact and probability of occurrenceAssess, using both qualitative and quantitative techniques, the threats, opportunities, probability and impact of the identified risksSupporting the Project Manager in developing a risk strategy and plan that supports project delivery of which the risk register must be a partEstablishing, maintaining and regularly reviewing the project risk planArrange timely risk reviews with risk owners and project team members as requiredMonitor and analyse event risks compared to the baseline analysis and evaluationsIdentify the stages through which the programme/project risk register should be developedIdentify, plan and monitor, with the Project Manager, Cost Estimator, Cost Engineer and Planning Engineer, mitigation measures, reviewing risks as they are mitigated, and updating the risk plan and register accordinglyReport an accurate and current event risk position to the Cost EngineerQualificationsEssentialProficient in the use of risk tools and techniquesKnowledge of developing a risk strategy and plan and experience of producing and maintaining risk registers across a range of project areasTechnical aptitude with a high level of understanding of project management, engineering, regulatory, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning activities and their relation to project costsMinimum of HNC/HND ideally in an Engineering discipline or relevant experienceProfessional membership of an appropriate institution (e.g. ACostE or equivalent)DesirableDegree level educationExisting Safety or business qualificationsAbout UsCostain helps to improve people\\\'s lives with integrated, leading edge, smart infrastructure solutions across the UK\\\'s energy, water, transportation and defence markets.
