Title: Buyer - Sourcing
Location: Staffordshire (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Contract: Temporary (6 Months)
Working as the site sourcing specialist for this large international corporate, and focused on specific electronic and engineered category areas.
Responsible for:
Category/product sourcing strategy - developing and implementing this strategy alongside group procurement objectives.
Sourcing and negotiating terms against costing targets and building cost of Bill of Materials.
Tracking and reporting on Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
Being point of escalation for shortages and sourcing through alternative routes.
End of product life/Last Time Buy activities.
Working on New Product Introduction (NPI), Leading design change projects, and product transfer projects.
Creating and analysing RFQs
Qualifications:
Ideally MCIPS qualified, or Degree in Engineering
Experience in technical sourcing and procurement
Strong knowledge of engineered components or electronic components
