Full training and induction will be provided to the successful candidate.
We are expanding our team of permanent Teaching Assistants within the Special Education Needs & Disabilities (SEND) department. These positions are suitable for applicants with experience working with young people in education or related sectors, possessing the qualifications and/or skills to support learning. The role involves working alongside teachers, leading and supporting small group interventions, and providing in-class support for targeted students or groups on the SEND register.
Teaching Assistants must demonstrate a willingness to become experts in specific fields and share that expertise with staff, students, and families. The main areas of interest currently include Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and English as an Additional Language (EAL). Experience with any of these groups is desirable but not essential.
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential. A commitment to further training and a willingness to gain additional qualifications (during work and personal time) are prerequisites.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
