You will support the Oral Care activity working in a team but be capable of self-motivation, with a desire to deliver a quality product to the customer. This will entail working on a 2 shift rotation, 5 days a week. You will work towards achieving internal Key Performance targets.
Your key tasks:
1. Operate designated machines and production equipment.
2. Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load it into production machines.
3. Understand materials and/or formula specifications, so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.
4. Manufacture product in a safe and timely manner and according to predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
5. Accurately read control instruments, prepare neat & accurate records for all operations as required.
6. Able to troubleshoot basic problems independently and provide recommendations for correction.
7. Perform in-process quality testing to ensure specifications are met. Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
8. Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
9. Maintain neat, orderly and clean shop floor and workplace at all times and complete all sanitation and housekeeping duties as required.
10. Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP and internal safety guidelines.
Process Improvement
1. Proactively identify process improvements.
2. Participate in Lean activities in designated areas.
Academic Background
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Professional Experience
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in flavour, ingredient, food, fragrance or chemical manufacturing. Minimum 1 year forklift operation.
Technical Skills
1. Advanced SAP bar coding/scanning experience required.
2. Basic maths, reading and recordkeeping skills.
3. Competency in MS Office products.
4. Experience in using RF scanner and labelling.
5. Ingredient knowledge.
6. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
