Job summary
The Cancer Services Division at UHB provides world-class care in Oncology and Haematology, supported by a multidisciplinary team. We are excited to offer a rare opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist to lead the Clinical Pharmacy Operations for Oncology and Haematology at the Trust.
You will be a motivated team player with exceptional communication skills, dedicated to enhancing patient care and guiding healthcare professionals in the best use of medicines. You will deliver high-quality specialist clinical services across four hospital sites, demonstrating strong leadership and management of staff and services.
Supported by the Associate Chief Pharmacist and Consultant Pharmacists for Haematology and Oncology, you will lead activities like reporting on medicines expenditure, clinical governance, and risk management, while also developing the clinical oncology pharmacy team. Additionally, you will manage team members and take on roles related to education and training.

Main duties of the job
The post holder has operational leadership and management responsibility for the ongoing development and sustainability of a high quality, innovative clinical service to cancer patients across the Trust.
The post holder will provide professional leadership for the cancer service delivery of all pharmacists working within cancer services and provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters, undertaking risk management and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation.
The post holder will lead on the strategic development of Cancer Services, within the Trust in collaboration with users of the service and key stakeholders.
The post holder will develop, communicate and implement a strategy for Cancer services at a local level by working with providers, users and stakeholders and identify how the clinical pharmacy services for cancer services can support the delivery of high-quality care.

1. *Masters of Pharmacy Degree (MPharm), BPharm or BSc (Pharmacy)
2. *Postgraduate Masters/Doctorate in clinical oncology or equivalent specialist experience
3. *Postgraduate Masters in management or equivalent experience
4. *Member of The General Pharmaceutical Council
