Specialist Deputy Service Manager £35,500 - £42,500 (depending on experience) 37.5 hours (full time) The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team and act as a senior practitioner providing high quality support which meets the needs and aspirations of the people we support. The role also requires the Deputy Service Manager to assist the Service Manager to develop and manage a high-quality Supported Living Service in order to ensure the delivery of our Mission. Summary of main responsibilities: To assist the Service Manager in their responsibilities as the Registered Manager for the delivery of all aspects of a high-quality service. To ensure the effective management of all staff and volunteers, ensuring they join, are managed well, and leave the organisation in line with Positive Futures policies and procedures and the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) Standards of Conduct and Practice. It is important that we understand the views and aspirations of the people we support and that they are kept at the forefront of our work. To assist the Service Manager in ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policy across the Service Maintain up to date registration with the relevant professional body (Northern Ireland Social Care Council or other) and adhere to their Standards of Conduct and Practice. A QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management) Wales and Northern Ireland and be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) register without condition AND have a minimum of 4 years experience in a health and social care setting. b. A professional social work qualification and be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the NISCC register without condition AND have a minimum of 3 years experience in a health and social care setting. c. Be a first level registered nurse on an appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council AND have a minimum of 3 years experience in a health and social care setting. d. Be an allied health professional registered with the Health Professions Council AND have a minimum of 3 years experience in a health and social care setting. e. QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the NISCC register without condition AND have a minimum of 5 years experience in a health and social care setting It is the applicants responsibility to demonstrate how their qualification is equivalent. f. Psychology Degree and be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the NISCC register without condition AND have a minimum of 5 years experience in a health and social care setting. g. 6 years experience in a health or social setting and be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the NISCC register without condition. 2. At least 2 years relevant management / supervisory experience. 3. At least 2 years experience of working with people with a learning disability OR autism. 4. At least 2 years experience in managing behaviours of concern through the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support. 5. At least 1 years experience of implementing trauma informed practice. 6.
