Hours: Full time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our above offices.

A phenomenal opportunity to join the Social Sustainability team in Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) during an exciting phase of growth and development as we support the Group’s purpose of Helping Britain Prosper.
The team’s mission is to “Break down socio-economic barriers impacting the UK’s under-served business owner communities and groups”. We do this by developing strategies, propositions, programmes and partnerships to deliver fair and equitable outcomes.
You'll have deep expertise in research (including methodology development), survey design, data engineering, analysis, interpretation and reporting. You'll also be adept at manipulating large data sets to help set strategy, advise decision-making, deliver process improvements and handle performance.
The role supports a portfolio of activity designed to improve access to finance and skills support for Black, Disabled and/or Women-led businesses as well as supporting the Bank build its organisational capability in meeting future external broader social sustainability reporting standards in line with CSRD guidelines that maximise socio-economic benefit.
Passionate about harnessing your data & insights engineering and analysis expertise, you'll accelerate purpose-driven social sustainability performance with a focus on commercial outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
* Acting as a data, research and reporting subject matter authority by maintaining an in-depth understanding of social sustainability data and insights.
* Providing data-driven insights across UK socio-economic priorities and under-served business owner communities and marrying those with our strategic drivers to help Britain prosper.
* Developing data tools and dashboards to support the targeting of underserved business communities across socio-demographic segments with financing and skills support programmes.
* Working with internal and external partners to craft, build and continuously evolve a social sustainability performance measurement framework for BCB. Developing appropriate methods of data capture to improve Client recording and minimise reputational or bias-related risks.
* Analysing socio-demographic data alongside other transactional, behavioural and attitudinal data to unearth new insights for use in the decision-making process. Evaluating market trends, building compelling reports and delivering presentations to colleagues in BCB.
* Running a budget used to develop new research projects and improve our internal capability to collect Client data.
What you’ll need:
* Data analysis and engineering: Strong proficiency using tools such as Excel, Power BI and Gen AI solutions, able to demonstrate extensive experience working optimally to engineer and analyse large datasets utilising a variety of tools and systems eg SQL, JIRA and Confluence.
* Critical thinking: Able to see the bigger picture and understand the strategic imperatives across the portfolio of activity within the context of UK socio-economic challenges and Lloyds Bank commercial focus areas, converting this into an effective social data strategy.
* Research/Insight/Data/Client Experience: Conversant with research methodologies and customer-centric focus in design of data capture initiatives.
* Collaborator management: Diplomatic and collaborative yet ambitious and outspoken, aware of internal/external customer needs and tailoring approach to handle conflicting requirements.
* Handling complexity: Able to produce reports/presentations and communications that convert sophisticated ideas/data in a simple and meaningful way.
