An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, dedicated Band 3 Endoscopy Nursing Assistants who wish to further their career and gain experience in the Endoscopy Unit. We will consider part time and full time hours. You will be based at Hexham General Hospital but would be expected to cover cross sites as required. Main duties of the job Reporting to the Endoscopy Unit Managers and Deputy Unit Managers, the individuals will be responsible for assisting the qualified Endoscopy Nurses in basic nursing care of the patient; ensuring decontamination of endoscopes is completed as per expected standards; ensuring effective communication across a multi-disciplinary team. The Endoscopy Nursing Assistants need to be flexible to the needs of the service; there is an expectation for weekend / evening working.
