We have an exciting opportunity within the Transport Department at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary
Are you ready to take on a unique role supporting the vital work of our police force? If so we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Transport Stores Team and play a crucial part in maintaining our fleet of vehicles.
Do you have a good knowledge of motor parts, the ability to quickly adapt to and use various IT systems, and an eye for detail? If you are confident interpreting technical diagrams in a parts catalogue, processing invoices accurately, and managing payments across multiple suppliers, this could be the perfect role for you!
In this dynamic position, you will work closely with our skilled workshop technicians, ensuring they have the right parts and equipment to keep our fleet running smoothly. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Sourcing and Allocating Parts : Managing stock and ordering from suppliers, ensuring parts are accurately recorded and assigned to vehicles.
* Equipping New Fleet Vehicles : Helping prepare newly purchased police vehicles for duty.
* Supporting Policing Teams : Sourcing and supplying essential auxiliary equipment to meet the needs of various policing units.
* IT and Record Management : Using various systems, including SAP, to log and track inventory and ensure all data is entered promptly and accurately.
* Processing Invoices and Payments : Managing invoices and ensuring timely payments to multiple suppliers using SAP.
* Customer Service : Being the friendly first point of contact for telephone enquiries.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 2, (4 passes including English and Maths) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
Full manual driving licence
Essential Experience
To have a basic experience of stock control & checking/receiving of goods.
To have a basic interest in motor vehicles.
To be adept at computing, using programs like word, excel & outlook with proven experience
