Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Design Support
* Assist in developing detailed electrical designs based on project specifications.
* Help create technical drawings and schematics using software like AutoCAD or Harnware.
* Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
Estimation Support
* Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.
* Analyse project specifications and technical drawings to determine project scope and requirements.
* Help conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed designs.
Project Collaboration
* Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure project alignment.
* Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on design and cost estimation.
Learning and Development
* Engage in continuous learning to understand electrical engineering principles, design techniques, and estimation methods.
* Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical and professional skills.
Engineering Technician Level 3 (A Level) Apprenticeship Standard:
* All apprentices will be required to achieve a minimum Level 2 Foundation competence qualification (Practical units, broad-based skills).
* Level 3 Development Competence qualification (Practical work-based units).
* Level 3 Development technical knowledge qualification (Theory-based units broad-based knowledge).
* Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this prior to taking EPA.
End Point Assessment:
* Portfolio-Based Occupational Competence Interview (Viva).
* A nominated professional Institution (PEI) undertakes the independent assessment to determine if the apprentice has met the EngTech requirements as defined by the UK-SPEC.
