Job Title: Secondary SEN Tutor Location: South East England, Surrey, Guildford Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Provide individualised academic support to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Develop and implement tailored learning plans based on students' specific needs and learning styles Assist students in improving their academic performance, confidence, and independence in learning Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure progress and address any concerns Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary Required Qualifications: Previous experience working with students with SEN Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Understanding of SEN policies and practises Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable Experience: At least 2 years of experience working as a tutor or teacher in a secondary school setting Experience in creating and implementing individualised learning plans Knowledge and Skills: Deep understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies Ability to assess student needs and progress accurately Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) Experience with assistive technology and resources for students with SEN Working Conditions: Part-time hours, flexible schedule Work primarily in a classroom or educational setting Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student learning and development All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
