An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join a leading organisation within the chemical process industry. This temporary role is based within a pilot-scale production environment at Redcar, supporting the development of advanced chemical manufacturing technologies. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing and performing laboratory analysis using GC-FID, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and auto-titration methods Maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating a range of analytical instruments Managing laboratory inventory, including chemicals and consumables Supervising day-to-day lab activities and supporting technicians with training and guidance Ensuring laboratory practices comply with health and safety standards, including COSHH and risk assessments Collaborating with operational teams to support data quality and process improvement Laboratory Supervisor Requirements: Minimum HNC or equivalent in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or related discipline Prior experience in a laboratory setting, ideally within a process or production environment Proficiency with GC-FID and other core laboratory instruments Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and documentation Effective communicator with strong attention to detail and organisational skills This is a great opportunity to be part of a technically challenging and rewarding Laboratory Supervisor role within a dynamic pilot plant environment.
