Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Band 2 or 3 Healthcare Support Worker (depending on experience) with excellent communication skills to work as part of the Outpatient nursing team in the ENT/OMF department.
Outpatients is a diverse, multidisciplinary environment which requires flexible and adaptable skills, an aptitude to learn, and a motivation to develop your own skills.
If you are a dynamic individual who enjoys a challenge and would like to join a team who are passionate about providing high-quality care to their patients, then we want to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to giving high-quality nursing care and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will consistently ensure that a patient's privacy, dignity, and psychological well-being are maintained, and at all times, the care given is patient-centered.
You need to have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. We require individuals who are forward-thinking, well-organized, and have a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.
The successful candidate may be required to rotate through the other Outpatient areas to support during times of annual leave and sickness. Recent Outpatient experience would be an advantage but not essential.
The working pattern is flexible to meet the needs of the service, including weekend working.
