Job Summary
A travel & London allowance will be considered as part of this role.
As an Apprentice Technician, you will embark on a journey to gain a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic Product Service, and Installation Engineering. Your role is vital in delivering exceptional customer-first experiences by diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and installing equipment. You will gain hands-on IT engineering experience across various sectors at customer sites, working with top-of-the-range printers, laptops, and other hardware. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop technical skills essential for becoming a Service Engineer, supporting the maintenance and repair of business equipment while enhancing your customer care skills.
About the Course
* Gain a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic Product Service and Installation Engineering.
* The course is run in partnership with Lincoln & Newark College.
* This Apprenticeship is a 2-year programme.
* Applications are open to any age group.
* Every six weeks, you will be required to visit Newark College from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays reserved for remote learning. Overnight accommodation and travel will be provided.
* You will be assigned to an onsite location in Central London so we ask that you live within an easily commutable distance.
Experience and Skills Required
* Level 2 Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or willing to undertake additional qualifications as part of the course.
* You must have some relevant experience or a qualification in IT, engineering, or a related field, or demonstrate a keen interest and aptitude for technical problem-solving and hands-on work.
* Ideally a full UK driving licence is required, as you will spend some of your time on the road helping our customers. We are happy to look at someone that is looking to learn to drive in the future.
* Ability to undertake technical training, including fault diagnostics and hands-on equipment repairs.
* Willingness to attend college induction and off-the-job training.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
* A customer-focused attitude with the ability to communicate effectively.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Self-motivated and adaptable.
