About The Role
Are you passionate about helping others? Do you thrive on making a positive impact? We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Support Worker to join our New Horizons Complex Needs/Domestic Abuse Service in Cornwall!
Based in Tolvaddon, you’ll travel across Cornwall providing vital support to individuals in LiveWest-owned independent properties. This role is all about making meaningful connections and empowering people facing challenges such as substance misuse, mental health struggles, fleeing domestic abuse, and any other challenging issues.
Working one-on-one, you’ll offer tailored, holistic support—whether it’s managing finances, securing benefits, improving health and wellbeing, maintaining housing, or providing emotional encouragement. Your ability to adapt your communication style and create person-centered plans will help our customers set and achieve their goals, building brighter futures.
You will need to be able to effectively risk assess, have a good understanding of safeguarding, and be able to develop strong links with other services and providers that support clients with complex needs.
You will be expected to work flexibly to ensure that the needs of the clients are met, including late shifts and some weekend working.
This role is being offered on a permanent, part-time basis, working 18.5 hours per week, over 2.5 days to include weekend working. We are also willing to consider this as a secondment opportunity.
