About The Role
Days of Working: Monday to Friday
The role of Senior Finance Business Partner will report directly into the Commercial Finance Director with a strong dotted line into the HMCTS Account Director within the Public Sector FM Business Unit. The SFBP will be responsible for all commercial and operational finance matters within the HMCTS contract, as well as contributing to the strategic direction and development of the contract. The business unit is supported by the UK&I Shared Services & the Central finance team who provide transactional, financial accounting and FP&A support.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
1. To financially appraise the operational activities of the sector to ensure that any operational performance issues are brought to the attention of the CFD and Account Director.
2. To provide the Operations Team with the financial support and business analysis required for the effective and profitable running of the contract.
3. Preparation of the management accounts and liaison with Central Finance and Operations to ensure accuracy of the contract accounts.
4. Production, analysis, and interpretation of timely and accurate key financial and non-financial data.
5. Completion of specific performance analysis related to contract performance, as directed.
6. The preparation of budgets, forecasts and variance reports for the contract ensuring that both Regional and Group deadlines are adhered to.
7. Support during annual pay negotiations with the union.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
1. CIMA or ACCA qualification.
2. Previous experience within the Public sector – desirable.
3. Commercially focussed.
4. D365 experience.
5. Manipulation of large volumes of data.
6. Excellent relationship management, communication and customer service skills.
7. Confident, credible and articulate when engaging directly with influential stakeholders with potentially high expectations.
8. Excellent people and influencing skills.
9. Successful track record of stakeholder management.
10. Ability to manage time and meet personal and team objectives.
11. Able to prioritise significant workloads and resource them in response to changing demands and requirements.
12. Proficiency in Excel.
