We are seeking positive, driven and solution-focussed candidates to join Royal London’s progressive Legal Operations Team. This is a new role created to support a growing legal team in a culture-first business with an exciting strategy.
Reporting directly to the Head of Legal Operations, the successful candidate will join a team of 4 legal operations professionals providing proactive support to the Group Legal Team. The Group Legal Team are responsible for providing legal advice to the whole of the Royal London Group and in this role, you will contribute to enabling the team to do this efficiently and effectively.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and progressive Legal Operations Team, contributing in a meaningful way to both legal service delivery and the achievement of wider business strategy.
About the role
* Operation of team and business facing mailboxes, working in a proactive and methodical manner to provide best practice operational support to the Group Legal Team and business stakeholders.
* Flawless delivery of all administrative processes, including meeting arrangements, travel & accommodation, expenses, filing, purchase orders and invoice payments.
* Execution of key operational processes, including triage and allocation of incoming legal instructions, contract signing, facilitation of external legal engagements, time-recording, project insider lists, and risk management.
* Support the Legal Operations Team to ensure that Group Legal has documented and effective processes, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and adhering to best practice standards.
* Support the Legal Operations Team, deliver the core operational framework and change activities for the Legal function including the effective maintenance and utilisation of legal technology solutions, contract management system, legal instruction portal and matter/document management system.
* Competent utilisation of all M365 applications including development and management of Sharepoint sites and Teams channels, production of reports, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, development and production of MI to demonstrate the value of the Legal Department.
About you
* Experience working in a private practice law firm or in-house legal function preferred.
* Process-minded and solution-focused with a growth mindset.
* Experience in working with Microsoft programmes including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint, and advanced Microsoft suite programs including, MS Forms, Power BI, Power Automate.
* Proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
