Purpose: The primary aim of this role is to deliver impactful marketing communications that support Cambridge Regional College's recruitment objectives for school leavers and employer engagement. This includes creating compelling case studies, engaging social media content, newsletters, email campaigns, and supporting in-college events, open days, and visits to local schools. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate confidence in implementing a variety of tactics across various platforms.
Responsibilities
Content:
1. Content Creation and Curation: Collaborate with the PR Officer to develop and maintain a comprehensive library of engaging student and alumni case studies, alongside dynamic social media content that highlights the College’s successes and offerings.
2. Social Media: Identify emerging trends and create compelling social media content that resonates with target audiences, boosting engagement and raising the College’s profile. The post-holder must be proficient in Canva and video editing software.
3. Case Study Capture: Capture and curate impactful case studies at key events throughout the academic year, including Apprentice Awards, Careers Fairs, and the Festival of Achievement. Ensure the voices of students, parents, and employers within the College community are featured.
4. Amplifying the Student Voice: Promote student success by producing compelling content, such as news stories and thank-you videos, to strengthen the College’s brand positioning and showcase the impact of its work.
5. Filming and Video Editing: Film and edit high-quality videos using mobile devices and software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, creating visually appealing content for various marketing channels.
6. Performance Analytics: Monitor, analyse, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns. Use data-driven insights to continually optimise campaign strategies and improve engagement across platforms.
Events:
1. Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of key College events, including Open Days, Award Ceremonies, Job Fairs, Graduation Ceremonies, and employer engagement events, ensuring seamless delivery and impactful promotion.
2. Open Days and School Liaison Support: Attend Open Days and school liaison events to support student recruitment efforts, building relationships with prospective students and their families, and promoting the College’s offerings.
General:
1. Support the College in all matters related to achieving its mission and strategic objectives.
2. Represent the College professionally at all times, promoting its values, programmes, and achievements to students, stakeholders, and the wider public.
3. Contribute to the ongoing development of the College’s marketing strategy, providing input for research, planning, and the implementation of campaigns on an ongoing basis.
4. Undertake any other duties as agreed with your line manager in support of the wider marketing team.
The Postholder for the role will produce:
1. PowerPoint presentations for internal events and external school liaison events
2. Social media content (posts, stories, reels, etc.) across various platforms
3. Photographs at events, student activities and wider College achievements
4. Videos filmed and edited using mobile devices and software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
5. Newsletters for email campaigns targeting prospective students and stakeholders
6. Email marketing campaigns to promote College events, updates and recruitment efforts.
7. SMS messaging campaigns for event reminders, announcements and student recruitment
8. Outdoor advertising materials, ordering of banners, posters and other promotional assets for key events.
9. Case studies featuring student success stories, gathered through written content, photographs and videos
10. Support for Open Days, attending and supporting in advance and post event, including liaising with stakeholders and ensuring materials are ready (e.g., banners, tablecloths, food)
11. Leaflets, postcards, and brochures, supporting content gathering in order to meet deadlines
12. Social media tiles and other graphic assets for event promotion and marketing campaigns
13. Analytics tracking for social media and campaign performance, reporting on content for improved engagement and results

This post is defined as regulated activity. The postholder is required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure check deemed acceptable to the College and to be re-checked every 4 years.

Related Experience At least 3 years’ experience in marketing communications delivery and implementation. Demonstrable experience of social media marketing and content capturing.
