SEN Teaching Assistant – Hackney - KS1/KS2
Are you a caring, adaptable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hackney is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one and small group support to help students thrive both academically and emotionally.
Position Overview:
1. Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
2. Location: Hackney, London
3. Start: Immediate interviews available
4. Contract: Full-Time / Long-Term
5. Pay: £102 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)
What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking someone who:
6. Has experience working with children with SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, or other complex learning difficulties.
7. Shows empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
8. Can support students both one-on-one and in small groups to aid learning and promote engagement.
9. Works well as part of a team alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
10. Is proactive, positive, and committed to nurturing each child’s confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
11. Provide tailored support to individual pupils, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
12. Implement personalised learning plans and adapt activities to meet varying needs.
13. Promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and positive behaviour within the classroom.
14. Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
15. Contribute to the wider school community with a collaborative and enthusiastic approach.
