Mechanical Fitter | Burntwood – West Midlands | 8:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday | £25,000-£27,000 per annum

Are you the right person for the job?
Strong mechanical or engineering background
A positive attitude and a team-oriented approach to both work and colleagues
Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines
Adaptable and eager to learn various aspects of the workshop
Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently
Collaborative and able to work with team members on larger tasks
Strong communication skills
Committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Punctual, professional, and reliable in the workplace
Counterbalance license preferred, or willingness to undergo training to support operations
Prior mechanical fitting experience is beneficial, but not essential
What will your role look like?
Building and fitting gearboxes and motors of varying sizes and complexities
Using both basic hand tools and more complex equipment, such as air guns and hydraulic presses (training provided)
Safely operating workshop equipment (e.g., jib crane) and following internal processes and safety standards
Using company IT systems to complete tasks and document work
Investigating customer returns and identifying potential issues
Communicating with the Operations Manager regarding any challenges or issues encountered
Maintaining a clean and organized workshop through regular housekeeping duties
Ensuring all equipment used is kept in good working condition
Completing any other reasonable tasks as requested by the team or management

Interview process
The interview process will consist of two stages. In the first stage, the candidate will be invited to the site for an in-person interview. If the candidate is successful, they will be invited for a tour of the workshop and have the opportunity to meet other team members for a few hours.
