FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Location of the Field Service Engineer / Plant Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer: Devon / Exeter areas
Salary of the Field Service Engineer / Plant Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer: £17.00ph - £19.00ph (£40,000.00 - £45,000.00) plus overtime
My client, a company specialising in all Agricultural equipment, are looking for a skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Fitter / Field Service Engineer / Agricultural Engineer to join their friendly team. This role will be mobile covering the Mid and North Devon areas.
Duties for the Field Service Engineer / Plant Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer:
* Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
* Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
* Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
* Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.
* Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
The Requirements for the Field Service Engineer / Plant Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer:
* Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
* Previous experience working as a mechanical/electrical engineer within the plant and/or automotive and/or Agricultural industries (essential)
* Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering – minimum level 2, time served will be considered.
* Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
* Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
* Full UK Drivers License
