About the role
We are looking for an NDT Technician to support our NDT team, reporting to the NDT Team leader, the NDT Technician will assist with the day to day running of the NDT department including all aspects of NDT inspection, recording of results and maintenance of equipment.

A varied role, primary responsibilities include:
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions
* Carry out daily systems checks and calibrations on NDT Equipment and ensure records are kept up to date
* Carry out Radiographic inspection as required on various components and interpret results
* Carry out Dye Penetrant inspection as required on various components and interpret results
* Rework unacceptable dye penetrant indications on welds or castings by either removing or reducing to be within an acceptable limit
* Carry out Positive Material Identification testing as required on various components and interpret results
* Carry out Hardness Testing as required on various components and interpret results
* Participate in Research & Development with Xray technique creation if required and carry out failure CT scans & x-rays as and when required
* Ensure Job Cards, NDT Logs and test reports if required are completed accordingly as items are tested
* Be vigilant at all times for defect identification due to client overcheck processes
* Troubleshooting and problem solving of any NDE issues that arise
* Execution of risk and hazard assessments (Start Cards) on all related work scopes
* Familiarisation and understanding of applicable NDE specifications to both client and industry, as well as product drawings
* Ensure department workload is kept continuing through for production demand as and when required
* Good working relationship and collaboration with other departments and their team members
* Ensure all NDT equipment is maintained regularly, and all records kept up to date
* Responsible for housekeeping within areas that the NDE department are responsible for. Working on nightshift or shift work when required to do so
* Participate in Toolbox or Team Talks
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications
* NAS-410 Level 2 Qualifications in PT, RT, RI. Refreshed every 5 years
* Film to Digital conversion bolt on course. Refreshed every 5 years
* Yearly eye vision test by company approved doctor
* In house Level III training on use of PMI / XRF Guns
Experience
* Documented Formal Training hours in accordance with NAS-410
* Documented Minimum Experience hours in accordance with NAS-410
* Demonstrable workshop / technician experience within a NDE workshop environment
