Job Responsibilities
As a team, we work systemically to understand and support the significant impact and challenges experienced by adults with autism who are in mental health crisis, and their families.
In order to do this, we work with the network around the individual (e.g., Adult Mental Health, Social Care, Education) and work closely with commissioners. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will have experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working as you will need to attend and chair regular MDTs, CETRs, and EMDTs.
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you would visit individuals at their home, at school, or in an appropriate setting multiple times a week to engage them and carry out our assessments and interventions.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we mature and expand and continue to look for innovative ways to support the families we work with. If you are passionate, motivated, and driven to prevent individuals with autism and mental health needs from being admitted to hospital, then we want to hear from you.
We have drop-in sessions over teams available in the next few weeks; if you are interested, please email and we can book you into a slot.
Person Specification
* Proven knowledge and skills relevant to children's and/or adult SLT.
* SLT clinical experience of working with children and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders/mental health.
